Biden reportedly said, "how many children saw what happened and saw their friends die." He said that "losing a child is like a piece of soul being torn off", which is "suffocating".
Biden also called on the country to pray for the victims and "stand up against the gun lobby", "as a country, we must ask, when can we stand up against the gun lobby in the name of God?"
Biden has also ordered the White House to fly the flag at half mast to express condolences, the report said.
A primary school shooting occurred in Texas on the 24th local time, killing many people, including 18 children. The gunman was an 18-year-old local man.
