North Korea reports no new deaths for three days in a row

More than 157,000 recovered patients and no deaths.This is the first time since North Korea announced that it had discovered the new crown epidemic, the country had no new deaths for three consecutive days.

The Korean Central News Agency quoted a report from the National Emergency Epidemic Prevention Headquarters that from the end of April to May 25, more than 3.17 million cases of fever were reported nationwide in North Korea, of which more than 2.899 million were cured, with a cure rate of 91.4%, and they are still receiving treatment. There are more than 272,000 cases.

Since North Korea announced the discovery of the new crown epidemic on May 12, fever cases have gradually declined after reaching a peak of more than 390,000 new cases per day on May 15.The total number of deaths nationwide is now 68.

According to a report by the Korean Central News Agency on the 12th, North Korea’s national emergency epidemic prevention department on the 8th of this month tested some patients with fever symptoms in Pyongyang and confirmed that someone was infected with the Omikron virus.This is the first time North Korea has reported a confirmed case of the new crown in its homeland since the global outbreak of the new crown epidemic.
