According to the "Hindustan Daily" report on the 25th, at least 16 people were killed and 15 people were receiving treatment in hospitals in a recent incident of fake alcohol in Aurangabad, Bihar, India.
According to reports, a doctor in Aurangabad city said that citing fake alcohol can damage eyesight and overdose can lead to death.
Local officials said the fake alcohol was shipped from Jharkhand and distributed to local suppliers.
Local police said five people have been arrested in connection with the case.
Bihar has banned the sale and production of alcohol since 2016, after which the state developed an illegal alcohol market, including counterfeit alcohol.
Earlier in early 2022, six people died after drinking fake alcohol in a village in Bihar state.According to local media, around 100 people in the state will die from drinking poor-quality alcohol in 2021.
