Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on the 27th called on the Eurasian Economic Union to urgently reorganize the logistics system to ensure the transportation of agricultural products.
When attending the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission via video, Lukashenko said that the Eurasian Economic Union should urgently reorganize the logistics system, promote the "Eurasian Agricultural Express" project, and ensure unimpeded railway transportation of agricultural products.
Lukashenko said that in the face of geopolitical tensions and Western sanctions, all parties should unite and take unified action.He said that the Eurasian Economic Union is in a proactive position in ensuring food security, but given the strong global demand for agricultural products, all parties need to coordinate closely to prevent commodity shortages.
The Eurasian Economic Union was established in 2015 and its members include Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.The Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission is the highest authority of the Eurasian Economic Union.
