According to the Southern Metropolis Daily, the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau reported that on April 21, the first China-Laos-Thailand (China-Laos-Thailand) cold chain special train with the “Bay Area Code” in Shenzhen departed from Shenzhen Ping Hunan National Logistics Hub. Sound the whistle. The train was fully loaded with 64 standard containers of goods such as malt, vegetables and candy. It sailed to Vientiane, Laos via Mohan, and is expected to arrive in Thailand in seven days.Subsequently, the special train will also load tropical fruits from Thailand, which will be imported to mainland China through road-rail combined transportation.

It is understood that this train is the first attempt to provide customers with "China-Laos-Thailand" end-to-end cold chain services after opening the "China-Laos-Thailand" international railway intermodal transport channel in Shenzhen Bay Area. The first "China-Laos-Thailand" cold chain round-trip train in the region marks the official opening of the international cold chain logistics channel between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the ASEAN region.

Since the opening of the China-Laos Railway at the end of 2021, freight demand has been strong.Compared with the original shipping or road transportation, China-Laos railway cold chain transportation has advantages in terms of efficiency, safety and cost, and the market prospect is promising.

After the train arrives in Thailand, it will be loaded with tropical fruits for the return journey. However, since the fruit supervision site of the Mohan Railway has not yet been built, the China-Europe train operation platform company in Shenzhen Bay Area has innovatively designed an alternative plan for China-Laos-Thailand road-rail combined transportation, which can be passed through Laos. After the trucks enter the territory of China, they will be transported by rail to Kunming, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places.
