The Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX) recently issued a statement saying that the president of the association, Ronald Bown, has decided to start the retirement process and will resign as chairman of the agency's board of directors within a short period of time.
Bown took over as Executive Director of ASOEX in 1986 and became Chairman of the Board in 1990, a position he has held since.

ASOEX Board of Directors appointed Iván Marambio Castaño to succeed Bown.He is a member of the current board of directors of the association and is a professional lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in the fruit industry.The association said he will take office in September this year.ASOEX said: "We once again thank Ronald Bown Fernández, who will be working for the association in an advisory capacity to collaborate in a smooth transition to the new president.
