GrubMarket acquires South American fruit supplier Salix Fruits

American food technology company GrubMarket has announced the acquisition of Salix Fruits, the world's leading importer and exporter of fresh fruit.This is also the company's first big move to expand into South America.

Since its inception in 2014, GrubMarket has been on a mission to digitally transform the food supply chain.During this time, the company acquired several U.S. fresh fruit and vegetable companies and added more to WholesaleWare, its service software platform for wholesalers and distributors in the food industry.

The addition of Salix Fruits will bring GrubMarket a rich portfolio of fresh fruit products, including apples, lemons, fresh oranges, mandarins, pears, grapes and more.Salix Fruits works with hundreds of growers in more than 20 countries and serves more than 450 customers in more than 50 countries around the world.
